Mosiamo
Played their first ever gig with the DOP. And their next one was at Glastonbury festival. MOSIAMO are dynamic, epic, with a gentle touch of all the music they love, citing influences from trip-hop, jazz, soul and dance to pop folk. The band are fronted by internationally raised Zimbabwean Getrude čTrudiî Mosiamo, whose powerful soul vocals and honest lyrics have helped her cut her teeth as a performer and songwriter for the likes of hip hop /reggae based LAID BLAK and jazz/drum and bass fusion CCQ. She has even written for house producers WAY OUT WEST and THE FREESTYLERS.
In playing over the last four years with various outfits around the country, including three Glastonbury Festivals and Ashton Court Festival, Trudi ‚Mosiamoç decided to take a year out to write her own material and - more recently - form her own band. She is now ready to return to the stage. In the words of the BBC at last years Bristol Harbourside festival with Nintin Saweney: čThis is one lady to watch out for!"

The sound of MOSIAMO embraces a backbone of soulful world rhythm where the musical energy delivers undercurrents of a collection of different styles, with a driving bassline and subtle melodies that shift from mood to mood in an open and evocative musical space.
